What does Easter mean to you? (I Corinthians 15:20-58)

What does Easter mean to you? (I Corinthians 15:20-58).
Easter and the Israelis Passover are celebrated around the same time. In fact it was during the celebration of the Jews Passover that Jesus went to Jerusalem and died. So the history of Easter is embedded in the Jews Passover.
Exodus 6:2
And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:
5
And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant. 6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
To the Israelites, the Passover means freedom from slavery of 430 years. During the time they suffered all kinds of abuses until help came from Jehovah their God.
Exodus 12:22
And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. 23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. 24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever. 25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service. 26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? 27 That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped.
Today may help come for you from above. Every power that has held you bound will lose its hold on you in the name of Jesus Christ.
To the secular mind, Easter is the usual time to eat and drink to excess. Time to emphasis their unbelief and deepen in sin. Carnal people seize the festive opportunity and the usual holidays to project a lot of atrocities to themselves and to others. Definitely these ones are missing it altogether. May you not miss it.
Romans 1:28
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
To us Christians, Easter is the time to celebrate the God-man who changed the sad history of the human race. He lived a sinless life, died and conquered death by his resurrection on the third day. He lived forever to become the author of eternal salvation.
Hebrews 5:6
As he saith also in another place,
Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. 7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
This means that if you put your trust in Jesus you will live a good life in this world and enjoy a better resurrection after death. One thing that is so impressive is that freedom is available from sins, sorrow and Satan. Halleluiah. Today all over the world we are talking about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He died and rose the third day. People witnessed it, heaven sanctioned it, there were evidences and even secular history attests to it. Moreover whenever we talk about his resurrection, the power of his resurrection is available. You can experience it today. All you need to do is to accept this truth of the gospel, put your trust in the resurrected Jesus and invite him to come into your heart.
Revelations 3:20
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

You will soon begin to experience the power of his resurrection. I pray that you will experience the power of his resurrection in your life time in the name of Jesus. God bless you.
