Jesus is the Christ (John 20:19-31)

Jesus is the Christ (John 20:19-31)
The world has just celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ. By this we are witnesses of one of the unusual things in the life of the Christ. This is a great pointer to the fact that he was anointed to take away your sins. The Greek word ‘Christos’ means anointed. Jesus is the anointed one. He was anointed to die sacrificially and take away the sins of the world, he was anointed to rise from the dead and show example of the resurrection of everyone that believes in him. He fulfilled all these. We are all witnesses, irrespective of our faith or lack of it.
Romans 1:3
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4 And declared to be
the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: 5 By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: 6 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:
Are you still in doubt that Jesus is the Christ? Would you like to find out more about him?
There are abundant proofs in the scriptures, in nature, in the universe, in you and even in ‘evil’ that Jesus is the Christ.
James 2:19
Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Every time the lordship of Christ and his anointing is mentioned, there is a quiet response in you to validate the scriptures. Your acceptance or rejection that follows after are just the consequences of your make up. It does not change the fact.
Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
The wisest thing to do in such a awesome experience is to cooperate with God and his Holy Spirit. Anyone who finds it difficult to do this might be seen as worse that the demons.
Luke 4:33
And in the synagogue there was a man, which had a spirit of an unclean devil, and cried out with a loud voice, 34 Saying, Let us
alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art; the Holy One of God.
For a willing mind, the scriptures is full of the evidence of Jesus the Christ of God. For example scriptures record several divine names given to Jesus to prove that he is the Christ of God. A few examples include Matthew 16:16-17; Acts 3:14; and Acts 10:36. Both secular history and the bible testify to his sinless life on earth. He received divine worship which angels dare not accept. John 5:23; Matthew 14:33. He had divine offices as the creator and sustainer of the universe, John 1:3; Colossians 1:17; and John 5:28-29 to mention just a few.
Hebrews 1:3
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Nature respect his voice and demons bowed to him. Even today at the mention of Jesus’ name miracles, signs and wonders take place. All you need to do is yield to him in an unquestioning faith as Thomas did and all these will manifest in your life as well. Jesus is the Christ of God.
